What a whirlwind week!

My, I can not believe it is almost the weekend!!! This week truly has flown by so quickly. I have been working this week at my new job, which I absolutely LOVE! I am currently working at Massage Envy at the front desk. I really enjoy the interaction with other people and seeing how much they enjoy their massage. I even have some really great perks that come with being an employee.
Also, school and sports have taken up much of my time outside of work. Eric has had 2 soccer games already and Greg has his first football game on Saturday. What excitement in our house! We all love sports and really get into when it comes to our teams! :)
Life is spinning rather quickly so I felt I should just put a new post to update those who actually check my blog. I didn't want you all to think I had dropped of the end of the earth! :)
More posts to come soon I promise!!!

Soccer has started!

Eric has so anxiously awaited the soccer season and now it has started. He only had one practice before their first game. They had their first game on Saturday. The game ended in a tie 2-2. The best part was Eric scored both the goals. He really has not lost his skill in the game. He started playing soccer at the age of 4 but it has been 2 years since he played and I was concerned he may have lost some of it. He hasn't lost a bit actually. In fact, this mama was rather shocked to see him do a reverse pass to his team mates since he had about 4 guys on him. I was stunned. I didn't know he even knew how to do a reverse kick. One of the pictures shows him preparing for that kick. He was very happy to be back in soccer to say the least. The sports are in full swing now. Greg has his first football game this coming Saturday. A post on my sweet Greggers is coming soon!

Eric Thomas

Eric Thomas was born as a very sturdy boy. He was 8lbs 14oz. and 22in long From day one he was a very good baby and as he became a toddler he was a very compliant child. Not that we didn't have to discipline but it took little discipline for him to mind. He always had people laughing with his giggle. He loves to laugh. When his brother and sister came into the picture he welcomed them and has loved them dearly. He didn't like it when they cried and did what he could to make them stop. As he started school I saw how much of a perfectionist he is. He wants it to be right the first time. He strives for the best and gets upset with himself when he falls short.
At the age of 5 Robert and I were able to lead him to the Lord. What a blessing that was!
At the age of 4 he started to play soccer and now has such a passion to play. He is actually very talented when it comes to soccer. He has his first game this Sat and he is more than excited. The World Cup put him in 7th heaven!!!
He even played football and enjoyed it but prefers soccer still. He has a love for the NFL and follows his team the Giants to the very end of the season. As soon as the NFL season is over he begins counting down the days til next season. The boy understands the sport so well. At 7 years old he was arguing the calls along side his dad.
He is a very dependable and reliable child. If he is told to do something I know it will get done right and right away. At times I find myself relying on him too much.
The trait that stands out most to me is his humor and ability to have a fun time. It started out as a quirky and awkward humor, that at times seemed annoying. Lately I have seen how he truly does make me laugh so much. Not only do I find myself laughing around him but almost anyone who truly gets to know him will be laughing as well. I love how he makes the room feel so happy and care free. He definitely has a lot of his daddy in him when it comes to the humor.
He LOVES to play pranks on those he loves. He must love me a TON since I fall victim to his pranks many times over. I at first feel so upset that he "got" me but find myself laughing right along with him. After all, his giggle has never gone away and it still makes me laugh.
I also love to watch him with his baby sister. He loves and adores her and wants to protect her. What I love is when Audrey comes out of her room dressed and ready to go and I tell her, "Wow, you look really cute!" and her response is "Eric helped me pick it out!" She asks his advice for clothes and how her hair looks. He is so gentle and sweet at telling her it doesn't look good and maybe try this instead! He has even painted her toe nails for her! I see that he will make a very good husband some day but in a very long time!
He truly has a desire to have a relationship with God and is so open to learning more and more about him. I love that he desires this. Recently he has seen some answers to prayers and he has lit up when he found out they were answered.
I thank the Lord each and every day for my first blessing!

Welcome!

I know that some of you are here as a result of me getting rid of my FB account. So to you I say WELCOME! My blog is a place where I write an account of the happenings in our lives. I tend to get more personal on here than I would on FB. I have a place where you can comment on my posts. Feel free to comment. I have it set so that I have to approve the comment b/f it gets posted. So, if you want to comment and don't want anyone else to see it just let me know and I won't make it a public comment. That is what I love about blogging vs facebook. I have more control and can filter through it all. Although, if you are reading my blog it is because I enjoy keeping up with you all and you are not the reason I deactivated my account.

On a more personal note I want to say a big Happy Birthday to my oldest son, Eric! He hit the double digits today!!! The big 10! He is so excited. I am taking treats and balloons to him at school today and we will celebrate as a family on the weekend. It is hard to believe how quickly time goes. It seems like yesterday he was born.
In the coming days I am going to do a post on each of my children. They each have such a unique personality with some great qualities! So look for those posts coming soon!

Been thinking alot!

I have been thinking quite a bit lately about my Facebook page. What is the purpose of having a facebook account? Is it really worth all the drama, gossip, and bitter remarks? I end up reading everyone else's garbage on there without looking for it. I do tend to end up with drama geared toward me and I tend to ignore it and live my life as peacefully as possible. Although there are many on there who give way too much information or say things they shouldn't. Why should I be subjected to reading it?
I don't know why I am so bothered lately by it all, but I am feeling the need to get rid of it. I even took a poll on my status for people to give me their input on why I should keep my account open. I had few respond and those who did said they just block those they don't want to see. Why should I have to be the bad guy and hide or block those. I have done that only to have my character questioned as to why on earth would I de-friend them. UGH Enough is enough!!! Grow up!
I have a very busy life to live. After all I have 3 beautiful children and a husband to take care. Not to mention all the homework and sports involved. I also just recently got a job so I have more than enough to do. Why continue wasting so much time reading everyone else's problems? There are times I read all that and get off FB only to feel down myself. I can no longer allow others to dictate my feelings.
So, I will be saying farewell to Facebook for now. I may open it back up in the future but I am overdue for a much needed break. And to think I lived on FB when living in Alaska! It truly was my window to the lower 48! Now that I am back to civilization I am finding less and less time to waste on FB! In fact, I have probably wasted too much of my precious time already!
I guess I have rambled and rambled way too much about this but decided to vent my feelings on here for now! Have a blessed week everyone!

My oh my!

I just can not get over how fast time flies. It is hard to believe we are starting our 2nd week in school already. I am praising God for giving us such a great school! The kids all LOVE their teachers this year and I can tell it is starting off well. I am praying that the academics come more easily for my kids this year. The already had picture day too!
Last week was the week of firsts. Greg started football, Audrey start ballet again, and they all started school. It was a busy one but a very good one. Eric will be starting soccer very soon. He can not wait for it to start. It has been 2 yrs since he played soccer and he has missed it something terrible.
I am currently looking for a job so please pray with me as I search. My kids are praying with me as well.
I have so enjoyed watching my kids grow in the area of prayer. They are very quick of late to say, "Mama, we should just pray about that!" My, sometimes kids can be such a convicting force! I love it!
So, as we begin another busy week I trust and pray you all have a blessed one!

Happy 7th Birthday my sweet Audrey!

Today was Audrey's 7th birthday and we really enjoyed celebrating!!! First, she got to pick what movie she wanted to go see. She decided on Despicable Me. The kids really laughed a lot through out the movie. For me, the beginning was slow getting into but then it turned out to be an ok story. There were some funny parts though! :) Then we went out to dinner and came home for cake and ice cream. Last but not least she opened her presents! She dressed up as a princess for the day and LOVED it when everyone told her how beautiful she was! It was a successful birthday celebration all in all. We love you so much Audrey! Happy Birthday!
