Audrey Got a Hair Cut

Audrey recently got her hair cut. It was almost to her bottom and looked great right after combing it out but after a few minutes it looked tangly and ratty. It was also getting very hard to comb out. What made us decide to cut it was one night after her bath I was trying to comb it out and she fussed and whined about it. It took me 10 minutes to comb it all out. That was with using conditioner and spray in detangler! Robert told her she had to get it cut and she just started to cry. After a few days we went to get it cut and started to look through the style books and she wanted the bobbed hair cuts!!! NO WAY!!! She went from wanting it long to extremely short. We went in between and it is still a little past her shoulders and it is much easier to take care of!!! We all were very pleased with her new hair cut!

Finished Picture

I know it has been awhile since posting so here I am finally!

This is the final product of Robert's Fathers Day gift. We received it while our company was here visiting. It was hung on our living room wall. It is hard to see the nice detail of the frame in the picture. It looks very nice on our rustic wood wall. That is a gift that I will never be able to beat in the future.
Our life is back to the bustle of working on the house. We still have some painting to get done, mainly the kitchen and bonus room with a few closets to paint as well.
We have the best neighbors. While our guest was here, we came home one afternoon to notice a planter with beautiful flowers in it. Then I realized the front yard had been mowed. It was quite the pleasant surprise, our yard looks like a jungle and has lots of work needing done. Come to find out our neighbor across the street had come over and mowed and left the lovely flowers. How sweet she is!!!
It is hard to believe it is almost July!!! We are going to go on our first camping trip this weekend. The kids are ever so excited. Mom isn't much of a camper but the kids excitement has made it something to look forward to. Mom is going to try and catch her first King Salmon too while there!!!

Happy Fathers Day!

Tomorrow is Fathers Day and our day will be busy so I thought I would post this now. First of all, Happy Fathers Day to my most awesome dad!!! Also Happy Fathers Day to my dear husband Robert. This was his Fathers day present. For those who do not know Robert had restored a 51 Hudson Hornet while we lived in Oregon. Unfortunately he had to turn around and sell it after it was finished. It was very sad to see that car go. He had put alot of time and money into it, not to mention he got very attached. Old cars have been a passion and hobby of Roberts. The only pictures we had of the car were of the finished product and it had alot of people and other things in the background. I decided to get the photo edited for him. This is his car put into a different background. I then had it blown up to a 20x24. He received it this last Thursday so that we could get it matted and framed in time for our company to see it. He was very shocked at my creativity with it, I think but the look on his face was worth it all. We will post a picture of it finished with the mat and frame.
Anyway, we wish every Father reading this a very Happy Fathers Day!!!

I Have a Wonderful Husband

8 Wonderful things about my husband!

My sister tagged me with this and it was perfect timing with Fathers Day just around the corner.

1. First and foremost he loves ME with all his heart! (That is why he is my husband)

2. He knows the Lord as his personal Savior.

3. He desires to be the best spiritual role model for our 3 children. (Though at times he feels inadequate, I know he is more than adequate)

4. He is VERY VERY helpful with our 3 children. (How many women have their husbands come home and say go do something fun for yourself and I will keep the kids) He always senses when I need a break.

5. He always puts family FIRST! (Family is extremely important to the both of us)

6. He makes time for our 3 children. (They absolutely love and adore their daddy!)

7. He is a VERY HARD worker! (He provides for the family well)

8. He is my Best Friend.

I know I could sit here and type several more wonderful things about him but I think you would all get bored hearing about how great he is so I will stop.
I love you with all my heart, Robert! Thank you for being you sweatheart!!! I hear the older you get the sweeter your marriage gets!!! It is sometimes hard to imagine that is can actually get sweeter, it's so sweet already! Thank you Lord for giving me such a wondeful gift, my husband.

I now tag my friend Rebecca and Sheri to do this fun post since it is Fathers Day.

Moving progress

We have been staying with Robert's brother Tim this week do to the sudden move out of our rental house. The Lord really worked out all the details from beginning to end with all this moving situation. We praise him for his blessing. We have been thoroughly exhausted from rushing out of the rental so fast but it still went very smooth.
If all goes as planned we will be living in the new house tomorrow!!! Yeah! We will still have our work cut out for us but hey I can take my time if I want to. Those who know me though, know that I can't wait to be settled in. So, I will probably wear myself out all over again. Especially since we have company coming to visit this month as well as family visiting next month.
Both the boys have their 1st soccer game tomorrow night. Right in the middle of our chaos! Oh well, just a little more excitement. They are more excited about their 1st game than moving into the new house.
The boys have been going to VBS with their Aunt Jessi this week and have absolutely enjoyed it all. Audrey was not old enough yet. She told her brothers when they got home the first day, "I missed you guys today!" It was so cute to see her miss them even though they tend to fight a lot when they are home. Her brothers are her protectors though and she loves that.
Well, gotta run again. Take care and write me soon!!!

Soccer Practice Went Well!!!

Well, somehow I am fitting this blog into my busy, busy, busy schedule!!! We are in the middle of moving into a different house 5 min. from where we are now. Tomorrow night we need to be done getting our stuff out so that Sat am I can clean the rental house. Yikes! Now someone please tell me why I am doing this blog right now!!! Well, I guess it is because there are several people that we love and know miss us all and enjoy seeing the pics. So, I am a terrible mother. We went to Eric's soccer practice and I took my camera with me. The only problem is I let it sit in my lap without a single picture the whole hour! I didn't even realize it until we got to Gregory's practice. Of course I felt so bad I had to make up for it at this practice. We will have many more practices though. It was a beautiful day for their 1st practice. They both enjoy it very much. In fact I am asked about 3 times a day if it is soccer practice day. Anyway I have to get to bed so I can bounce right back into packing tomorrow. Love and miss you all!!!

Soccer Begins!!!

The boys are both thoroughly excited for tomorrow's first practice. This has been a very long anticipated moment for the both of them. They are both is different divisions. Eric is in U-8 and Gregory is in U-6. That means two different practices and two different games. We will be plenty busy to say the least. Even though it is very busy and hectic during soccer we absolutely enjoy it, the kids as well as the parents!
Audrey is ready for the boys to go back to school so that she can take ballet. We aren't sure if she will do gymnastics or ballet. She will start out in a beginner class that is for both. From there they determine which one she will be better at. I think she is more interested in dressing in the pretty tutu than actually learning. Then again she may just surprise us!!!
Robert's car will be here tomorrow. We are thrilled to finally have 2 cars again. Having the one car wasn't too bad when he worked in town. It was crazy days going back and forth with the one car but it worked! Now that he has to drive into Anchorage it is necessary to have the 2 cars.
We are eagerly awaiting the visit with Robert's parents as well as his brother's family. They are coming up here in July. That is the buzz in this Dean household. Visits from any family are so valuable to us. Being in Alaska and so far from everyone makes those moments even more enjoyable.
I personally am awaiting the 70 degree weather. I told Robert tonight that I am beginning to doubt that it will even hit 70. Of course he just shook his head at me with a grin on his face. I miss the great heat of the south. I thrive on the humidity there. Oh well, such is life.
Those of you who read this regularly and don't comment please do so. I love hearing from you.
