Memorial Day Weekend Camping
Our memorial day weekend we spent camping and fishing. Yes, it is that time of year again! We had a lot of fun. It was raining the day we were leaving but when we got to the campground the rain had stopped and the sun came out. The weather stayed rather nice. The kids absolutely love camping and fishing (when the adults have the patience to help with the fishing) Hope you all had as much fun as we did on this Memorial Day weekend.

A Slower Pace
School is out and things have finally slowed down. It won't be this slow for long though. Soccer season is about to begin again and Audrey's new ballet season is about to begin as well. Audrey is now moving up to the next level of ballet. She thoroughly enjoys each and every minute of it. She was watching in amazement at the other ballet dancers after her show last weekend. She was sitting there trying to mimic the advanced ballet dancers. Who knows, maybe some day she will have a leading part in the Nutcracker! haha! I am happy we have found something she is passionate about. Eric is just as passionate about soccer. He also really wants to play basketball. Since he will be eight in September we are going to see if he can play yet or not. Gregory is anxiously awaiting to be of age for football.
With ballet and soccer quickly approaching we will start up the running around. It still won't be as busy as the school year. Thank goodness. We will also be enjoying family visits during the summer. My parents will be coming in just over 2 weeks and then Robert's parents will come in July. The kids are especially thrilled to see their papa and grandma Wallace. It has been sometime since they have seen them. Well, not much else is happening around here for which I am thankful. Hope you all are doing well also. Take care for now my friends and family.

Audrey's Ballet Show
Here is a video clip of Audrey's ballet show. It is not a very good one since I was not really supposed to be recording it anyway. Audrey is the one right behind the teacher. She is doing all of the routine right with the teacher. Her cousin Alena is right beside her to the left. I ran out of memory near the end. Audrey ended up getting behind other girls when they went in the circle. Cruella de Ville came in during the routine and they girls were supposed to be the puppies. Above will be a slide show of some of the pictures from the day. Enjoy. (Sorry for the poor video but that is all I could get)

Gregory's Graduation Pictures
Here is a slide show of Greg's graduation night. If you scroll down more there are also 3 small videos clips of his night as well. This is all new to me with the video clips. Gregory got EXTREMELY nervous to do his reading. He was doing much better earlier in the week but his nerves got the best of him. He still did an awesome job though. Robert and I are very proud of him. He received the most improved reading award. Audrey also did great. She received the people respecting others award. Eric received the people respecting others award as well as a personal achievement award for reading 3600 minutes the whole year for his book it program. Eric also received the A honor roll!!! I can't tell you how proud we are of him. School has not always been easy for him. This was an awesome job for him. He worked so hard all year. I am also including some pics of Audrey's b-day celebration at school. NO, it's not her b-day but since it is during the summer the teacher wanted to celebrate the last day. She so enjoyed it especially since daddy was able to show up for it too! (That is a rare occasion since daddy works an hour away) Anyway, enjoy all the clips and pics. I can't believe school is over!

Happy Mother's Day!

I just thought I would take this post and use it as an opportunity to wish my wonderful mother a Happy Mother's Day.
Mom,
I just want you to know how much I appreciate you being my mother. Being a mother myself I now see what it takes to be you. I love that I can pick up the phone and call you anytime. You have taken on many roles as my mother. I never knew you were a 24hr on call doctor, mother, and bargain finder and most of all friend till becoming a mother myself. Words will never be good enough to describe how wonderful you are. Thanks so much! Wish I could celebrate this wonderful day with you. Look forward to seeing you up here in a little over 4 weeks!!!
Happy Mother's Day!
Love,
Angela

Making Alaskan Memories
This past weekend we were invited to go 4 wheeling with a soccer family. So we loaded up and went out to Knik Glacier area at the foot of the mountains. I was so nervous at first to drive my own 4 wheeler. Once we got going and I got used to driving it I had a blast! It was so much fun and so beautiful! I am hooked for life. Eric and Gregory's eyes just lit up when then saw the 4 wheelers. They loved every minute of it, especially since they got to drive by themselves. Audrey even surprised me. She never once complained and she even had loads of fun. She especially enjoyed when daddy let her do the driving. She did surprisingly well. What a true sport she was. The only draw back was there had been quite a bit of wind making it rather cold. By the time we were leaving the wind had died down and it was feeling much warmer. Now we just need to get our own 4 wheelers!!!
